Transfer IN
You will be greeted at the Barranquilla airport (Ernesto Cortissoz) arrival gate and transferred directly to your accommodation. Thereafter, you are free to explore the delights of Barranquilla, a truly wonderful Caribbean city.
La Batalla de Flores
The first - and most significant - Carnival parade is The Battle of Flowers (La Batalla de Flores). This traditional opening celebration is quite simply spectacular - it features an array of elaborate floats (for which the Carnival is renowned), theatrical dancing, and the glamorous Carnival Queen.
La Gran Parada de Tradición
The Carnival’s second major extravaganza is The Great Traditional Parade (La Gran Parada de Tradición). Festivities today highlight Colombia’s rich folkloric traditions with performers entertaining the crowds with a blend of Spanish and African styled music.
