This Tour to Salento and Cocora Valley is specially designed for travellers who enjoy mountain scenery, good coffee and the traditions and culture found in the small towns of South America.

Salento is a picturesque town located in the Quindio department in Colombia’s Coffee Triangle. Its most emblematic tourist attraction is the Cocora Valley (or Valle del Cocora). It is special because of its many Quindio Wax Palm trees, Colombia’s national tree and the tallest growing tree in the world. The first stop on this tour will take you to the Cocora Valley, going more than 2,000 metres above sea level. Enjoy a typical lunch before getting your hands dirty and planting a wax palm tree on a plantation.

The tour continues to Finca El Ocaso, where you’ll see how special Sustainable Coffee is grown and prepared. Finally, take a tour around the streets of Salento, a beautiful village with many colourful old adobe houses (constructed from sticks or woven reeds and mud) and countless viewpoints from where you can admire the Coffee Cultural Landscape, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Discover the natural wonders of one of the most famous and gorgeous parts of the Coffee Triangle in Colombia. Book your Tour to Salento and Cocora Valley online with Colombia4u!
