Medellin has one of the most innovative Metro and Metrocable systems in South America. This transport system connects the most important parts of the city by train and an aerial cable car system, making even the highest suburbs accessible. This tour will take you sightseeing using the city’s renowned transport system.

The Metro and Metrocable Tour of Medellin visits the city’s top attractions. First you will board the Metro to visit one of the oldest and most exclusive neighbourhoods of the city, El Poblado. This is where the nightlife of the city is concentrated. Next, visit Pueblito Paisa (Little Town) that sits on top of Nutibarra Hill to get the best view of the city and walk through the replica of a typical Antioquian town. Then take the Metro to the downtown area to appreciate some of the most important symbols of renewal, growth and tradition of Medellín’s economy: Edificio Inteligente, Plaza Mayor, Parque de los Pies Descalzos (the Barefoot Park), La Alpujarra Administrative Centre, Parque de la Luz, Parque Bolivar and the Metropolitan Cathedral and Coltejer Building. You'll also visit Plaza Botero to see the 23 statues by sculptor Fernando Botero that decorate his hometown. From here you will continue north to Parque de los Deseos, Explora Park and the Botanical Garden.

Next you will connect to the Metrocable system and take the cable car to the top of the hills that rise above the Aburrá Valley, where you can see the city from a bird’s eye view. Finally take a short visit to la Unidad Deportiva Atanasio Giradot, a sports complex that houses two of the city’s professional football teams. You’ll also visit the Carrera 70 boulevard before returning to your hotel.

Explore Medellin in a unique and innovative way. Book this Metro and Metrocable Tour to move around the city like a local using the much-acclaimed integrated public transport network. It’s the best way to see why Medellín is considered one of the most innovative cities in the world.
