Amazon Adventure (6 Days / 5 Nights)

Deep in Colombia’s part of the Amazon rainforest, 1’084 km from Bogotá, is the city of Leticia. This is Colombia’s gateway to the Amazon River. Explore this fascinating part of the world with a 6-day Amazon Adventure package.

Day 1:

Transfer Airport – Hotel: Upon landing in Leticia, a vehicle will be waiting to take you from Alfredo Vásquez Cobo International Airport (LET) to your hotel.
Typical Lunch: Once you’ve settled into your accommodation, you’ll enjoy a traditional Amazonian lunch.
City Tour Leticia and Tabatinga: At 4:30 pm, a local guide will take you to see the main attractions and neighbourhoods of Leticia. You’ll then cross the border into Brazil to explore the city of Tabatinga as well. This city is a commercial hub, where you can experience a bit of the Brazilian joy, try some cachaça and appreciate a different way of living in the Amazon.

Day 2:

Breakfast at the hotel: Begin the day with a hearty breakfast at the hotel.
Parque Ecológico Mundo Amazónico: A vehicle will pick you up at your hotel at 8 am and take you to the Amazon World Ecological Park, an ethnobotanical centre where you’ll walk through four circuits with an expert guide. Learn about the Amazon rainforest and the Amerindian cosmology. You’ll also enjoy a tasting of fruit from the Amazon and a typical regional lunch.
Uitoto Shaman Talk: Have the opportunity to speak with one of the principal spiritual leaders of the Uitoto indigenous community, grandfather Jitoma Safiama. He will introduce you to the shaman activities of Mambe and Ambil, and explain the relationship between the social and economic activities of this town and its cosmogony.
Dinner: Enjoy dinner at your hotel.

Day 3:

Breakfast at the hotel: The day begins with a hearty breakfast at your hotel.
Amazon Tour + Monkey Island: At 8 am, your guide will meet you for a tour down the Amazon River aboard a speed boat. During this tour you’ll visit:
a) Lotus Flower Nature Reserve (La Reserva Natural Flor de Loto), where you will see the world’s largest water lilly: Victoria amazonica.
b) Monkey Island (la Isla de los Micos), an island that is home to more than 5,000 monkeys of various species. These playful creatures like to interact with visitors to the island.
c) The Ticuna Indigenous Community of Macedonia, famous for their elaborate crafts and magnificent ancestral art
d) The Municipality of Puerto Nariño, a town 80km from Leticia. Here you will explore the town and a typical lunch (included), before sailing to Tarapoto Lake or El Correa Lake, home of the exotic pink dolphin (Inia geoffrensis).
Dinner: After returning to Leticia, enjoy dinner at the hotel

Day 4:

Breakfast at the Hotel: Enjoy breakfast at the hotel.
Free day in Leticia: The rest of the day is free to relax. You can visit more places of interest in Leticia, or take part in an alternative activity.
Lunch & Dinner: You can enjoy both meals in the hotel, with delicious regional food.

Day 5:

Breakfast at the hotel: Start the day with breakfast at the hotel
Marasha Natural Reserve Tour: Pack your bag and prepare for an early pickup at 7:30 am. Travel by boat to the Marasha Natural Reserve in Peru, where you’ll spend the night. Enjoy a day of ecotourism activities, such as a hike, canoeing, kayaking, fishing, and an exploration of the flora and fauna. You’ll also enjoy a delicious buffet lunch.
Night Safari: At nightfall, a safari will take you on a search for one of the most amazing reptiles of the Amazon: the black caiman (Melanosuchus niger).
Dinner & Overnight in the Reserve: After a full day of new experiences, enjoy dinner in the reserve and stay the night in the reserve’s accommodation.

Day 6:

Breakfast in Marasha: The last day will start with breakfast in Marasha Nature Reserve.
Transfer to Leticia: Return to the city of Leticia by boat.
Free morning: You’ll have the rest of the day free to enjoy Leticia. Go shopping, visit attractions, or rest in the exotic jungle environment.
Transfer Hotel - Airport: According to your flight departure time, you will be picked up at the hotel and taken to the airport.
